Where possible include a reference to the specific cluster goal the activity relates to:
January 28th: TOD (Cluster Goal:Implement 2007 National Curriculum for years 9-10 focusing on cross competency skills)
Trevor Bond ran a session with staff to provide an overview to the NZ Curriculum and to explore with staff further the concept of a cross competency focus to facilitating the competencies with students. 6 key cross competency skills were intoduced and iscussed in some detail. Suggestions were supplied for draft wrding of the skills and matching acheivement rubrics. There was a lot of discusson and some changes were mooted. (see Key Competencies page for associated notes) Outcomes:
1: A decision was made to continue to move towards a cross competency aproach and for this to form a central plank of the GraduateProfile.
2: The teacher offered to edit the wording of the rubrics so there was consistency of structure.
3: A small team was established to draft a set of possible cross competency attitudes that support the cross competency skills.
February 11th, 18th, March 2nd, 19th, 26th, 30th
Meetings between SLT and finances
Outcomes: decision making about cluster structure and completion of Variation documentation which was finally approved by MoE on May 7th.
